Find gaps in the strength log from data the member entered in ByStep: workouts typed by hand with no sets (each has a workoutId, day, startTime and durationMinutes), sessions that look incomplete (each has a sessionId and the exerciseId of each exercise), and the days since each routine was last done. workoutId feeds log_strength_session. sessionId feeds add_sets. Workouts that a watch or a fitness app recorded are not included.

find_missing_logs

Read one strength routine in full: for each item the exercise id and name, the rep unit, the sets, the rep target and the top of its range, the target weight in kg and the private note.

List the body measurements of the signed-in ByStep member, newest first. Filter by type or by a start date.

List the strength routines of the signed-in ByStep member.

list_routines

List the strength sessions in the ByStep strength log of the member, newest first. Each session has its day, routine, exercises, sets, working set count and volume. origin "ai" marks sessions added through this connector. Times, durations, calories, heart rate and points are not available.

list_strength_sessions

Add one strength session to the member's strength log with every set. Sessions added here never earn challenge points. Exercise ids and their rules come from search_exercises. dryRun true validates, returns the summary with the inferred values and saves nothing. requestId is the idempotency key: a retry with the same requestId returns the stored session. The call returns all validation errors at once. Count rep exercises in reps and timed exercises in seconds. Weighted exercises need weightKg; bodyweight exercises take only extra weight; timed exercises take no weight. Up to 30 exercises, 20 sets each, 500 sets in total. The day must not be in the future and not older than 5 years. If a session with the same routine or exercises exists that day, the call refuses unless allowDuplicate is true. Workouts that a watch or a fitness app recorded are not visible. A workoutId from find_missing_logs takes the time of that workout, so date, startTime and durationMinutes stay out. Without a workoutId, date is required and startTime and durationMinutes set the time; ByStep attaches the sets to the matching workout in the app when there is one.

log_strength_session

Add two or more strength sessions in one call. It saves all of them or none. Up to 14 sessions. Each session has the same fields as in log_strength_session, with the same rules: exercise ids from search_exercises, workoutId from find_missing_logs, the day, the start time and the duration. A timeZone on the call is the default of the sessions without their own. Sessions added here never earn challenge points. dryRun true returns the summary and saves nothing. requestId is the idempotency key: a retry with the same requestId and the same content returns the stored sessions and saves nothing. The same requestId with different content is refused. The call returns the errors of every session at once. Up to 30 exercises, 20 sets each per session.

log_strength_sessions

Find exercises by name, optionally by equipment. Returns catalogue exercises and the exercises the member created, with the rules to log a set: repUnit (reps or seconds) with repMin and repMax; weightUse (required: weight on the bar or machine, added: extra weight on top of body weight, none: leave weightKg out) with weightMin, weightMax and weightMeaning; treadmill (true: inclinePercent and speedKmh apply); unilateral; defaultWeightKg. Routines and strength sessions take the id of each result.

search_exercises

Show which ByStep service this connection reaches: the service name, the environment (development or production), the API version and the tools this connection can use.

get_server_info

List catalogue exercises similar to one exercise, closest first: the same movement family, then other exercises for the same muscles. Each result has the id, name, area, equipment and the rules to log a set. The optional equipment filter keeps exercises that use one of the given types. A custom exercise has no movement family, so its list is empty and a note says why.

similar_exercises

Rename a routine, replace all its items, or both. Items replace the whole list. Get routine ids from list_routines. An item keeps the targetRepsMax, targetWeightKg and note stored for the same exercise when it leaves them out; send null to clear one.
