Aginera reads construction drawing sets (PDF, DWG, DXF) and returns structured quantity takeoffs: counted fixtures and devices by printed mark, measured conduit, pipe and duct runs, and equipment and panel schedules, each linked back to the sheet it came from. It can also convert PDF drawings to CAD (DXF and DWG). Use it to find your Aginera projects and drawings, read takeoffs you or your team already ran in the Aginera web app, start a new takeoff on an uploaded drawing, review individual line items, and export results to CSV, Excel or JSON. Built for estimators, contractors and engineers in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural and civil trades. Aginera only accesses projects in the Aginera account you connect. ChatGPT asks before starting a new takeoff; reading existing results does not start any new work. Quantities are extracted by AI and should be reviewed by an estimator before use.

Pass `file` for a file the user attached in ChatGPT, or `url` with `filename` for a public HTTPS link, including Google Drive or Dropbox links shared as "anyone with the link". For a file only on the user's computer, use get_upload_link. Processing is asynchronous: call get_document until the status is "ready".

Checks whether a PDF drawing already in Aginera can be converted to editable CAD: whether it is vector or scanned, how many sheets it has, and which formats (DXF, DWG) this account can download. Does not convert anything. Use before create_cad_file. The PDF must have status "ready" (see get_document).
check_cad_conversion
Converts a ready PDF document to an editable CAD file (DXF, or DWG where the account includes it) and returns a download link valid for about 60 minutes. Large sets can take up to 3 minutes. Run check_cad_conversion first to see which formats this account can download.

Creates a secure one-hour page where the user uploads a drawing (PDF, DWG or DXF) from their computer into an Aginera project. Lists existing takeoffs for a project or document, newest first, including takeoffs run in the Aginera web app. Each has its id, document, discipline, status, timestamps and, when completed, item, sheet and route counts. Use before run_takeoff: a completed takeoff can be read with get_takeoff_items, get_takeoff_routes and get_schedules. Give project_id, document_id or both.
list_takeoffs
Turn a floor-plan PDF into a furnished 3D dollhouse cutaway, a rendered floor plan and AI room images — the same "Upload a floor plan → 3D" flow as aginera.ai, on the user's own account. The document must be a ready PDF in a project (add_document first). Reading the plan takes 2–6 minutes and rendering another 3–10; returns immediately with a render id — poll get_floor_plan_render every ~60 s. Uses the account's credits / free allowance exactly as the web app does (the first reveal on a free account is usually included; the run is refused with insufficient_credits or spend_cap_reached otherwise). For a multi-sheet set, pass `pages` (the floor-plan sheets) or Aginera will look for them itself. Ask the user before starting.
render_floor_plan
Accept, reject or override the quantity of an item. The extracted quantity is preserved; your override becomes the effective quantity.
review_takeoff_item
Finds the user's Aginera projects by name, reference or the user's own identifiers, or lists the most recent ones. Use before create_project so an existing project is reused.
search_projects
Starts a quantity takeoff on a ready document for one discipline or multi_discipline, using the connected account's Aginera credits. Returns immediately with status "queued"; call get_takeoff until it is "completed" (typically 3–20 minutes). Confirm with the user before starting, and call list_takeoffs first to reuse a completed takeoff.
