Description
BrewMark is a home coffee brewing tool. It gives the grind setting to use on your own coffee grinder, for every brew method from espresso to cold brew. It covers 200+ home grinders, including Baratza, Fellow, Comandante, 1Zpresso, Timemore, Niche and DF64. Ask things like: - "What setting should I use for pour over on my Fellow Ode Gen 2?" - "The recipe says 18 clicks on a Comandante C40 MK4. What's that on my Baratza Encore?" - "Which grinder should I get for pour over under $200?" Answers come as a card: the setting drawn on your grinder's dial, every brew method on one chart with a starting recipe, and "too sour" / "too bitter" buttons that move the dial a step at a time. Tell it how the cup tasted and it gives the next setting to try; say it's dialed in and the assistant can remember it for that coffee. Shopping for a grinder, you get a shortlist with photos, approximate prices and a link to each one's BrewMark buying guide. BrewMark maps every grinder onto one shared 0 to 100 grind scale, so a setting quoted for one grinder can be translated to another. Intended for home brewers dialing in a grinder they own, following a recipe written for a different one, or deciding which grinder to buy. Limitations: settings are starting points, not guarantees. Burr wear, bean density and roast level shift the right setting, so expect to adjust by taste. BrewMark does not give settings for grinders where its data is not good enough to publish (for example the Kafatek Monolith), and says so rather than guessing. Prices are approximate US list prices. It does not sell anything or need an account. When you report how a cup tasted, BrewMark keeps an anonymous record (grinder, brew method, setting, taste, and the coffee's name if given; no IP address or identifier) to improve starting settings for particular coffees.
