CarScout

Return your scout capacity and a creationRequestId with requestExpiresAt. create_scout accepts the ID for 24 hours, and a matching retry returns the existing scout instead of a duplicate.

check_limits

Read available NHTSA model-year recall campaigns and complaint counts. These records do not establish a specific VIN's recall coverage or repair status.

check_recalls

Create a saved search (scout) from vehicle and filter criteria or a VIN pattern. Each request carries a creationRequestId from check_limits, so a matching retry returns the existing scout instead of a duplicate. Scouts check roughly every 24 hours and email a daily digest of new matches and price drops.

create_scout

Decode available vehicle specifications from a VIN. This lookup does not provide accident history or recall repair status.

decode_vin

Delete one scout. This stops its daily checks and deletes its saved alerts.

delete_scout

Dismiss one saved match from one of your scouts, with a reason.

dismiss_alert

Read saved matches from one of your scouts, one page at a time. This does not run a new inventory search. Dealer names, titles, and links are third-party listing data.

get_alerts

Get dated aggregate asking prices, model-year recalls, and EPA fuel economy. Results include data freshness; unavailable values are null and unavailable lists are empty. Does not return listings or a vehicle appraisal.

get_market_data

Read one of your scouts, including every search criterion and its latest update time.

get_scout

Read your saved scouts, full search criteria, status, and latest update time. Scout names are text the user entered.
