CheckedCare

CheckedCare republishes the child care licensing and inspection records that state agencies publish, each cited to the agency that owns it. Ask about a child care center, preschool or licensed family child care home by name, city or license number, and CheckedCare finds the facility and returns its official record: license status, the agency's own published counts, and the agency's inspection findings quoted verbatim. Every answer links to the facility's CheckedCare page and to the official record on the agency's own portal, and states the date the facility's status was checked with the agency, with the note that inspection records are re-checked at least every 3 months and that recent inspections may not appear yet. What CheckedCare does not do: it never grades, scores, ranks or recommends facilities, and it does not give general child care advice. It publishes facilities, not people: names of individuals and contact details are removed from the records, and it holds no data about children, staff or residents. It covers the states listed on checkedcare.com; a facility in another state is not on record. CheckedCare is an independent publisher and is not affiliated with any government agency.
