EduJobs

Use this when the user asks about a specific school district, charter network, college or school as an employer: how many roles are open, its size, grades, location or website. Returns the employer profile from EduJobs with a link to its page and open roles. For pay across its postings, use summarize_posted_pay.

get_employer_profile

Use this when the user asks about one posting from search_education_jobs results: pay, deadline, schedule, requirements, certification, duties or how to apply. Returns the posting in full, including the employer's own text. Answer only from what it returns; if pay or a requirement is not in the posting, say it is not listed.

get_job_details

Use this when the user wants to find open jobs at US schools, school districts, charter schools or colleges: teachers, substitutes, paraprofessionals and aides, counselors, nurses, coaches, administrators, support staff, adjuncts and faculty. Coverage is deepest in Texas. Returns up to 8 live postings, each with an EduJobs link, and the total count. Map words onto filters: "sub" or "substitute" is the employment type Per diem; "teacher" is the job role Instructional; "coach" is Athletics; for adjunct, faculty or professor roles set employer_type to college. Subject, grade level and specialty go in keywords: "middle school science", "SPED", "bilingual", "paraprofessional", "bus driver". Leave a filter out unless the user asked for it. Do not use this for jobs outside education or to apply for a job.

search_education_jobs

Use this to show the user the jobs you are recommending as cards they can open on EduJobs. Call it after search_education_jobs or get_job_details, with the posting_ids of the jobs you present, best first. One posting_id shows a single job card with an alert signup. The cards carry title, employer, place, pay when listed and the link, so keep your text to a short summary instead of listing the jobs again.

show_jobs

Use this when the user asks what one or more schools, districts or colleges pay, or wants to compare pay between them. Summarizes the pay listed on their live EduJobs postings: lowest, highest and median, and how many postings list pay. It is not the district's official salary schedule, and many postings do not list pay; say both when you answer. Teachers are the job role Instructional, which also covers aides and paraprofessionals: add the keyword "teacher" for teachers only, and check the examples before saying what a role pays.
