open_ella

Start here for account setup, onboarding, or identity questions. Works for authenticated users without a company. Returns accessible companies, active company, missing setup, permissions and personal welcome progress. Never infer onboarding from emissions alone.

get_account_context

Basic facts about the company whose data this connection can read: name, industry, headcount band, location, reporting currency and reporting year. Call this first — the reporting year is the default period for the other tools, and reporting_year_end reveals whether the company uses a non-calendar financial year.

get_company_profile

The sites, vehicles, suppliers and other entities that emissions are recorded against, with their type, region, level of operational control, and total emissions for the year. Use this to find the biggest contributors, or to see which sources are still collecting data.

list_emission_sources

The individual activity rows behind the totals, with quantities, units, emission factors and factor provenance. Use this to explain or audit a number — for example to see which purchases make up a scope 1 total, or which emission factor was applied to a flight. Returns the most emitting activities first.

search_activities

Total greenhouse gas emissions for a year, broken down by scope, GHG sub-category, source, or month. Figures are date-weighted: an activity spanning several years contributes only the portion of its emissions falling inside the requested year. Use this for any "how much did we emit" question before drilling into activities.
