FactoryFox

List companies in the public FactoryFox directory by category and country, 40 per page. Use when the user wants to explore a category or country rather than match a specific brief. Call without filters to get the available category and country slugs, then pass those slugs; do not guess them.

browse_supplier_directory

Look up a specific company by name, alias or website domain. Use when the user names a company; use search_suppliers instead to find companies by capability. Returns up to six candidates with a slug for get_supplier_profile. Returns no match when the company is not in the FactoryFox database.

find_supplier_by_name

Read one company's public profile: capabilities, products, services, locations, company contact channels, trade fairs, the source of each fact and what is unknown. Use after another FactoryFox tool returned the company's slug. Named personal contacts are not included, and listed certifications are claims, not verified certificates.

get_supplier_profile

List the product, process, capability, material, application, certification and supplier-type terms FactoryFox classifies companies by, with synonyms. Use when the user's wording is ambiguous or to check whether a term is covered before searching. Filter by text or dimension and paginate. A term being listed does not mean any supplier holds it.

list_supplier_search_terms

Search public industrial supplier records for a sourcing need. Use when the user describes what they need made or bought (product, process, certification, supplier type, country). Returns matching companies with the evidence for each requirement and the requirements that are still unconfirmed. Results cover only companies in the FactoryFox database and are not an exhaustive market list; match order is not an endorsement. The query is stored for search-quality analytics. Does not contact suppliers or send requests.
