Integration details
Description
JamStation helps business owners and store managers operate background music and voice advertising in retail stores, restaurants, and other physical business locations. Connect an existing JamStation account through OAuth and select a store, then browse and favorite playlists, manage music and volume schedules, create voice advertisements, and manage in-store ad schedules or ad distribution to other stores. You can inspect current settings and check schedule conflicts before making changes. Creating or updating advertisements and schedules, changing settings, and deleting items take effect in the connected JamStation service; the assistant requests confirmation before these actions. The plugin manages store audio operations and schedules. It cannot start individual songs on demand or report live device playback telemetry. An existing JamStation account with access to the selected store is required.

Add playlists to favorites. Obtain IDs from catalog or favorite queries first. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately adds playlist favorite associations to the linked account without overwrite or deletion. The API ignores already-favorited IDs, so identical IDs do not create duplicates.
add_playlists
Check enabled type=2 fixed-time in-store ad conflicts (0x118). type=1 has no conflicts. Returns conflicts/proposed or blocked, without replacements or writes. For updates/enabling, pass excludeScheduleId. Resolve by changing time, weekdays, dates, or disabling conflicting schedules after consent; do not split/shorten in-store schedules. Behavior and annotation rationale: Validates a proposal and reads linked store schedules to calculate conflicts. Returns conflicts/proposed or blocked only; no enabling, disabling, deletion, or modification; retries do not change schedules.
check_instore_schedule_conflict
Check proposed playlist schedule conflicts (0x131) before create_playlist_schedule / update_playlist_schedule. Returns conflicts/proposed with scheduleId/title, original slots, and replacements (retained intervals after splitting/shortening; empty means deletion). Pass excludeScheduleId for updates. Present every replacement for consent; do not shift time slots. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads linked store playlist schedules and calculates conflicts/proposed. replacements are suggested retained intervals, not automatic splitting, deletion, or modification. Retries do not change schedules.
check_schedule_conflict
Check proposed volume schedule conflicts (0x153) before create_volume_schedule / update_volume_schedule. Returns conflicts/proposed, including original slots, volume values, and replacements (retained intervals after splitting/shortening; empty means deletion). Pass excludeScheduleId for updates. Present every replacement for consent; do not shift time slots. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads linked store volume schedules and calculates conflicts/proposed. replacements are suggested retained intervals, not automatic splitting, deletion, or modification. Retries do not change schedules.
check_volume_schedule_conflict
Create an ad asset; title, content, voiceSourceId, and contentCreatedSource are required. First call list_voice_sources for valid voices and content limits. Sends copy and voice selection to JamStation, creates the asset and generates TTS in the background, returning advertisementId. Query ttsStatus with get_advertisement. This MCP tool does not push preview audio or create playback schedules or external broadcasts. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately adds an asset to the linked account and consumes editing/generation quota without overwriting existing assets. Processing is limited to JamStation asset/voice services, not external publication. Retrying identical parameters may create duplicates and consume quota again.
create_advertisement
Create an external broadcast for an ad. First verify ad TTS completion. Confirm cross-store distribution and complete settings with the user; isEnabled=true makes the new broadcast eligible for distribution immediately. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately adds a broadcast without overwriting existing broadcasts. isEnabled=true makes ads eligible for distribution to other stores under business-area rules, beyond the linked account. Retries may create multiple distributions.
create_external_ad_broadcast
Create an in-store ad schedule. daysOfWeek/type/startTime/endTime/isEnabled are required (0x137). type=1 uses frequency; type=2 requires startTime=endTime. Propose complete settings and obtain consent. Campaign fields are normalized: PERMANENT forbids dates; DATE_RANGE requires ordered dates. Enabled type=2 schedules automatically pre-check conflicts and return blocked without writing. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately adds an in-store ad schedule; isEnabled=true starts scheduled playback. Does not overwrite or automatically delete conflicting schedules. Affects only the linked store, not external distribution; retries may create duplicates.
create_instore_schedule
Create a playlist schedule with title/jobType/startTime/endTime/playlistSource/playlists. daily requires daysOfWeek; event requires startDate/endDate. First check_schedule_conflict and explain every conflict replacement for consent. Catalog playlists can be scheduled with playlistSource=category without favoriting first. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately adds a linked store playlist schedule that applies during its time slots. Does not overwrite or automatically delete conflicting schedules. Retrying is a new creation request with no deduplication guarantee.
create_playlist_schedule
Create a volume schedule. First check_volume_schedule_conflict for matching weekdays/time slots and explain replacements for all conflicts. volume is BGM volume; unspecified adVolume and bgmVolumeDuringAd may be proposed as 90 and 30. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately adds a linked store volume schedule that applies during its time slots. Does not overwrite or automatically delete conflicting schedules. Retrying is a new creation request with no deduplication guarantee.
create_volume_schedule
Delete an ad asset. First list_advertisements or get_advertisement to verify its ID, title, and associated schedules/broadcasts. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Behavior and annotation rationale: Irreversibly deletes the linked account asset and audio. The API rejects deletion when schedules or broadcasts reference it; they are not cascade-deleted. Repeating the same ID may return not found but does not delete other data.
delete_advertisement
Delete an external broadcast. First list_external_ad_broadcasts to verify its ID and settings. Stops distribution immediately; deletion is irreversible. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately and irreversibly deletes a broadcast and stops its distribution, affecting future reception at other stores. Repeating the same ID does not delete other broadcasts.
delete_external_ad_broadcast
Delete an in-store ad schedule. First list_instore_schedules to verify its ID and settings. Immediate and irreversible. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately and irreversibly deletes the specified in-store ad schedule and stops its scheduled playback. Affects only the linked store; repeating the same ID does not delete other schedules.
delete_instore_schedule
Bulk-delete in-store ad schedules. First list_instore_schedules to verify every ID. Immediate and irreversible; duplicate or missing IDs are ignored. Behavior and annotation rationale: Irreversibly bulk-deletes specified in-store ad schedules for the linked store. The API ignores missing or duplicate IDs; retries cause no additional deletion.
delete_instore_schedules
Delete a playlist schedule. First list_playlist_schedules to verify integer scheduleId, title, and times. Immediate and irreversible. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately and irreversibly deletes a playlist schedule and stops its scheduled playback. Limited to the linked store; repeating the same ID does not delete other schedules or playlists.
delete_playlist_schedule
Delete a volume schedule. First get_volume_schedules to verify integer scheduleId, times, and volume. Immediate and irreversible. Behavior and annotation rationale: Irreversibly deletes a linked store volume schedule; remaining settings or defaults apply in its time slots. Repeating the same ID does not delete other schedules.
delete_volume_schedule
Set in-store schedule isEnabled. First list_instore_schedules for the ID and current settings. Enabling type=2 automatically checks campaign validity and conflicts; blocked results do not write. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites isEnabled, starting or stopping scheduled playback: a reversible setting overwrite, not a read. Affects only the linked store; repeating a boolean does not toggle status.
enable_instore_schedule
Send type, businessStyle, and promotionContent to JamStation AI copy generation for up to 3 candidates: [{ type, script }], without title or voiceSourceId. For type=2, JamStation also includes the linked store name and city/district derived from its postal code. Confirm submitted content with the user first. Let the user select a candidate, then call create_advertisement separately to create an asset. Behavior and annotation rationale: Consumes daily AI quota and stores input/result summaries in usage logs, so this is a write. Does not overwrite assets, create schedules, or publish externally. The recipient is the configured JamStation copy service, not an arbitrary destination. Retries regenerate, log again, and may consume additional quota.
generate_ad_script
Get today's ad-editing and AI-copy quotas and usage. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads linked member daily asset-editing and AI-copy usage/remaining quota. Does not generate, delete, or modify content; retries do not consume quota.
get_ad_edit_limits
Query the ad queue for the next seven days. clientPlayTime uses HHmm (0916); optional queueStartDate uses YYYY-MM-DD, defaulting to today. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads/calculates the linked store ad queue. External slots are placeholders; no realtime selection, play-count increments, or schedule changes. Limited to this store; retries do not change distribution state.
get_ad_queue
Get an ad and its TTS status, enabledScheduleCastListCount, adSchedules, and adCastLists. Check enabled associations before editing. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads a linked account ad, TTS status, and associated schedules/broadcasts. Does not modify or distribute assets; retries do not trigger generation.
get_advertisement
List top-level playlist categories. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads playlist categories in the fixed JamStation catalog. No deletion or modification; retries do not change business state.
get_categories
List playlists in the specified category. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads catalog playlists by categoryId. No deletion, modification, or creation of favorites; limited to the fixed service catalog; retries do not change business state.
get_category_playlists
Get ads scheduled to play now at the linked store, not actual device playback telemetry. External slots trigger JamStation realtime selection and return ad/distribution identifiers; no assets may mean no data. Does not send audio to a playback device. Behavior and annotation rationale: May read other members, advertisers, or official assets, overwrite this account selection history, and increase member cast/official play counts: an open-world destructive write. Retries may select different ads and count again. Explain these effects and obtain consent; do not use for read-only polling.
get_current_ad
Get the currently effective playlist schedule, not actual device playback telemetry. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads the linked store currently effective playlist schedule. Does not change schedules or playlists or start playback. Retries do not change settings even if results vary over time.
get_current_playlist_schedule
Get current Asia/Taipei (UTC+8) date/time before resolving relative dates or event date ranges. Returns date=YYYY-MM-DD, time=HHmm, dayOfWeek=1 (Monday) through 7 (Sunday), weekday, and iso8601. Behavior and annotation rationale: Calculates the Asia/Taipei date and time locally. No deletion, modification, or public-web access; retries only update the returned time without additional business effects.
get_current_time
Get the currently effective volume settings. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads the linked store currently effective volume without modifying volume or schedules. Retries do not change playback settings even if returned values vary over time.
get_current_volume
Get a playlist detail by playlistId. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads playlist details by playlistId in the fixed catalog. Does not delete or modify data or start playback; retries do not change business state.
get_playlist_detail
Get the linked member profile, business information, features, and alerts. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads only the linked member profile, business data, features, and alerts. No deletion or overwrite; limited to this account; retries have no additional business effects.
get_profile
Get recommendations by member attribute; attributeType currently supports only primaryProduct. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads recommended playlists based on the linked member attributes. Does not change attributes, favorites, or schedules; limited to the service catalog and this account; retries have no additional business effects.
get_recommended_playlists
List volume schedules and default volume, including integer schedule IDs, time slots, and all three volume values. Obtain IDs before editing/deleting. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads linked store volume schedules and defaults. No deletion or modification of schedules or volume; retries do not change playback settings.
get_volume_schedules
List store ad assets, including advertisementId, title, and status. Obtain IDs before scheduling, broadcasting, editing, or deleting ads. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads only the linked account ad assets. Does not generate, edit, or distribute ads; retries do not change assets or generation quota.
list_advertisements
List the full playlist catalog for browsing and scheduling. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads the fixed JamStation playlist catalog, not the public web. Does not create favorites or schedules, delete, or modify data; retries do not change business state.
list_catalog_playlists
List external broadcasts owned by the linked account, including IDs and enabled status. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads only external broadcast settings owned by the linked member. No arbitrary external assets, distribution, deletion, or modification; retries do not change distribution.
list_external_ad_broadcasts
List in-store ad schedules, IDs, ads, time slots, playback modes, and enabled status. Obtain scheduleId before editing, enabling, or deleting. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads only the linked store in-store ad schedules. No creation, deletion, modification, enabling, or disabling; retries do not change playback settings.
list_instore_schedules
List playlist schedules, optionally filtered by jobType=daily/event, including integer scheduleId, playlists, dates/weekdays, time slots, and source. Obtain IDs and complete current state before editing/deleting. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads linked store daily/event playlist schedules. No creation, overwrite, or deletion; retries do not change playback settings.
list_playlist_schedules
List the linked member favorite playlists and their IDs. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads only the linked member favorites. Does not add or remove favorites; limited to this account; retries do not change business state.
list_playlists
List available ad voices, including voiceSourceId, name, language, tone, and voiceContentLimit. Call before creating ads or generating copy to choose a valid voice and respect its content limit. Behavior and annotation rationale: Reads available voices and content limits for this member from the fixed catalog. Does not generate audio, delete, or modify data; retries do not consume generation quota.
list_voice_sources
Remove the specified playlists from the linked member favorites. First list_playlists to verify IDs. Takes effect immediately; playlists can be favorited again. Does not delete catalog playlists or schedules. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately deletes favorite associations for the linked account, a destructive write. Catalog playlists and schedules remain and favorites can be added again. The API ignores missing associations.
remove_playlist_favorites
Perform one realtime external-ad selection for the linked store. Returns the selected ad under distribution rules, potentially from other members, advertisers, or official sources; no candidates may mean no data. Does not send audio to a playback device. Behavior and annotation rationale: Overwrites this account selection history and increases play counts when member cast/official ads are selected: an open-world destructive write. Retries may select different ads and count again. Explain these effects and obtain consent; do not use for read-only polling.
select_external_ad_for_store
Set external broadcast isEnabled. First list_external_ad_broadcasts for the ID. Verify ad TTS completion before enabling; explain cross-store effects and obtain consent. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites broadcast isEnabled, starting or stopping distribution to other stores: an open-world setting overwrite. Repeating a boolean maintains status rather than toggling it.
set_external_ad_broadcast_enabled
Update an ad; title is required, omitted voiceSourceId/content retain current values. Enabled schedules/broadcasts (enabledScheduleCastListCount>0) block updates. First obtain consent and disable them with enable_instore_schedule / set_external_ad_broadcast_enabled (isEnabled:false). Do not re-enable automatically. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites a linked account ad. Copy/voice changes may remove old audio, consume editing quota, and regenerate TTS. Does not automatically re-enable distribution. This asynchronous process has no retry deduplication guarantee; check get_advertisement after failure or timeout.
update_advertisement
Replace alert settings with the complete codes array. First get_profile for known valid codes; omitted alerts may be removed. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately replaces the linked member alert settings with codes, potentially removing omitted alerts. Affects only this account; an identical array leaves the same settings.
update_alerts
Update default volume for times not covered by volume schedules. volume is required; adVolume and bgmVolumeDuringAd are optional. First get_volume_schedules for current values. Changes apply immediately. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites linked store default volume for time slots not covered by schedules. An existing-setting overwrite; identical volume values leave the same settings.
update_default_volume
Update an external broadcast. First list_external_ad_broadcasts for its ID and current state. Omitted fields are filled from current data; changes can affect ads received by other stores. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites broadcast assets, names, or enabled status, potentially changing ads received by other stores: an open-world destructive write. Identical fields and values leave the same settings.
update_external_ad_broadcast
Replace feature settings. First get_profile for valid feature codes and value structures. Supply the complete features array of { code, isEnabled, value }, such as PlaylistPlanner or VoiceJam; never guess codes or values. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites feature switches and values for the linked member, potentially changing schedules or external-ad reception. Does not publish to other stores; identical settings do not create additional features.
update_features
Update an in-store ad schedule. First list_instore_schedules for its ID and current settings. Omitted fields are filled from current data. Switching to PERMANENT removes dates; DATE_RANGE requires both ordered dates. Enabled type=2 schedules automatically pre-check conflicts, excluding this schedule, and return blocked without writing. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites in-store schedule fields or enabled status. Switching to PERMANENT removes the old date range. Affects only the linked store; identical fields and values leave the same settings.
update_instore_schedule
Replace a playlist schedule. scheduleId is an integer; supply the complete creation fields. First list_playlist_schedules for current state. Before changing dates, weekdays, or time slots, check_schedule_conflict with excludeScheduleId. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites a playlist schedule using the complete input, replacing playlists, time slots, and source settings. Limited to the linked store; identical complete settings leave the same schedule.
update_playlist_schedule
Update profile/business information. First get_profile to inspect current values. The tool reads current data, overlays supplied fields, and sends a complete API body. name, phone, contactName, and merchantZipcode are required even when unchanged. Never guess opaque business attribute IDs. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites profile/business fields for the linked account, replacing existing data. Limited to this account; identical fields and values leave the same settings.
update_profile
Update volume schedule fields. First get_volume_schedules for the integer scheduleId; supply at least one changed field. Before changing weekdays or times, call check_volume_schedule_conflict with excludeScheduleId. Behavior and annotation rationale: Immediately overwrites volume schedule fields, changing linked store playback volume during the time slots. Identical fields and values leave the same settings.
