KMS Rental Assistant Showcase

Step 2 of 2, and the only irreversible action in this app: it creates a real reservation in 1OS. Normally the user confirms on the review card itself, which calls this directly — you do not need to. Call it yourself ONLY after prepare_rental_booking, and only when the user asked you in words to book because they could not use the card; a positive-sounding conversation is not such a request. Takes just the bookingReference; all customer and price data was frozen at prepare time, so nothing personal is re-sent here. The reference is single-use: calling this twice with the same reference returns the SAME booking rather than creating a second one. If it reports that the request did not complete, do NOT retry — the reservation may already exist. Returns the 1OS reservation number on success.

confirm_rental_booking

Look up the rental stations (branches) KMS Showcase Corporate Demo rents from, optionally filtered by a free-text place such as a city, postcode or branch name. Read-only. Use it when the user names a place rather than a station code, or asks where cars can be picked up. Returns each station's stationShortIdent — the identifier search_rental_offers needs — plus address, coordinates and opening hours. Pickup and return are always the same station: this shop does not offer one-way rentals. Only KMS Showcase Corporate Demo locations are visible here.

find_rental_locations

Step 1 of 2 for booking. Revalidates price and availability against 1OS, places a short hold on the vehicle, and returns a review plus a single-use bookingReference. Nothing is booked yet and this creates no reservation. Normally the booking card's form calls this after start_rental_booking — prefer start_rental_booking and do not collect personal details in the chat. Call it yourself only if the user cannot use the card and has given every detail (first/last name, email, phone, street, postcode, city, date of birth) unprompted; never invent one. The returned review is shown to the user; they must then explicitly confirm before you call confirm_rental_booking. If the price changed since the search, the review says so — tell the user before they confirm. Pass previouslyQuotedTotal so that comparison can be made.

prepare_rental_booking

Search KMS Showcase Corporate Demo's live rental inventory for vehicles available at one station over one date range, and render them as cards. Read-only; nothing is reserved or booked. This is the main tool — use it whenever the user asks what cars are available, for a price, or for options over given dates. Dates are yyyy-MM-dd and times are 24-hour HH:mm in the station's local time; both pickup and return must fall inside the station's opening hours or 1OS rejects the search. Give either stationShortIdent (from find_rental_locations) or a place string; an ambiguous place is reported back rather than guessed. Returns up to `limit` offers with a stable offerId, total price for the whole period in EUR, a derived per-day price, key features and a shop link. Prices come from 1OS and already reflect the requested period — never recompute them. Results are always and only KMS Showcase Corporate Demo inventory.

search_rental_offers

Fetch the full detail for a single offer returned by search_rental_offers, including the insurance options, mileage packages and extras KMS Showcase Corporate Demo offers for that tariff group, and render it. Read-only; nothing is reserved or booked. Use it when the user asks about one specific result ('tell me more about the second one', 'what's included?', 'what does insurance cost?'). Pass the same station and date/time values used for the search, plus the offerId from that result — re-running with different dates returns a different price.

get_rental_offer_details

Use this as soon as the user wants to book an offer. It shows a booking card with a form for their contact details; the card then prepares the booking and lets them confirm it, all without you. Do NOT ask the user for name, email, phone, address or date of birth in the chat — the form collects them. Read-only: nothing is held or booked by this call. Pass the offerId and the same station and date/time values used for the search.
