Kwotable

Purpose: cancel one customer's own request or booking. Input: business_id, ref (booking reference), customer_contact (the same phone or email given with the request). Output: cancelled status, or an error when the reference and contact differ from the stored request. Side effects: marks that request cancelled; cannot be undone. Rate limited.

cancel_booking

Purpose: free drop-off days at one business. Input: business_id, optional date_from and date_to (YYYY-MM-DD; default is the next 14 days). Output: each day's drop-off window and free drop-off places. Side effects: none (read-only).

check_availability

Purpose: diary availability for selected services. Input: business_id, service_ids, either date (YYYY-MM-DD, legacy single-day response) OR date_from/date_to (inclusive 1–31 days, defaults to next 7 days). Output: duration-fitting times grouped by day for a range, explicit available/closed/full/unavailable/error status and reason; bounded next_free when range empty. An empty list is NOT proof of fully booked. timezone is null if unconfigured; updated_at is retrieval time, not proof of source freshness. Read-only snapshot, not a reservation or external calendar guarantee.

check_times

Purpose: search listed UK local businesses on Kwotable by trade or job words and, optionally, an area, in one plain query (e.g. 'bike service Tooting', 'puncture repair SW17'). Input: query. Output: matching businesses with business_id, name, trade, address, number of fixed-price jobs and booking type. Side effects: none (read-only).

find_businesses

Purpose: price one or more jobs at one business from the business's own price list. Input: business_id, service_ids, optional customer_notes (notes never change a price). Output: quote_id, each job's price and the total (fixed, from, or priced after a look). Side effects: none (read-only); nothing is booked.

get_quote

Purpose: public details of one listed business. Input: business_id. Output: name, trade, address, area, opening hours, booking model, policies, phone, website and owner note where set. Side effects: none (read-only).

get_business_info

Purpose: form helper that loads one listed business's job list for the request form. Input: business_id. Output: job list with the business's own prices, next free days or times and confirmation policy; an error for an unknown business_id. Side effects: none (read-only).

load_service_menu

Purpose: open the request form for one listed business. Input: business_id. Output: the business's own job list with each price (fixed, from, or priced after a look), its next free drop-off days or start times, and its confirmation policy; the form is rendered from this result. Side effects: none; this tool sends nothing. The business confirms every request. Nothing is booked until they do. No payment is taken.

request_service

Purpose: send a booking REQUEST for a start time to one diary business. Input: business_id, quote_id (must match service_ids), service_ids, start (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM, e.g. 2026-10-23T14:00), customer_name, customer_contact, customer_consent, optional notes. Output: a receipt with status, booking reference, time, total and the contact given; drop-off businesses, unknown ids, a taken time and a mismatched or expired quote_id return an error with nothing sent. Side effects: shares the customer's name, contact and notes with that one business and holds that time as pending while the business decides. Requires customer_consent=true; without it nothing is sent. The business confirms every request. Nothing is booked until they do. No payment is taken. Rate limited.

book_time

Purpose: match one business's jobs to a need described in plain words. Input: business_id, optional query (empty returns the full list). Output: matching jobs with service_id and the business's own price. Side effects: none (read-only).
