Movesmith

Returns an anonymous rough amount or sample range from Movesmith’s pricing engine for a proposed move, using postcodes rather than full addresses or contacts. Unknown answers can be omitted; the result lists any missing questions and the assumptions used. Photo-derived operation indexes can be marked; photos cannot establish dimensions, weight, preparation or access. Results are not fixed quotes, capacity or bookings. This does not create a continuation link.

calculate_indicative_move

Creates a short-lived continuation for the proposed move, intended for use once the customer chooses to continue. It carries the applicable answers and item/stop assignments from the calculation, including waitingMinutes at storage. requestId is a UUID that identifies the request; repeating the same requestId returns the same result. Returns continuationUrl, a link that expires after 24 hours; the customer reviews and confirms the move on movesmith.uk. It saves an ephemeral proposal only, not an enquiry, email, fixed quote, booking, payment or capacity reservation. Private addresses and contacts are entered on Movesmith.

prepare_move_handoff

Returns the supported catalogue item IDs and answer fields for a proposed UK consumer move. Collection and delivery properties are independent. Catalogue planning estimates are not measured facts, and property size is not a whole-home inventory. Read-only.

discover_move_catalogue

Price booking 2 or 3 movers and a Luton van for a half day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours), for two UK postcodes. Everything within the hours is included (stairs, dismantling, any items). The exact price includes VAT; an extra hour is £80 for 2 movers or £120 for 3 movers, charged after the move from the crew's recorded times, never on the doorstep. Not for pianos, safes or long-distance moves. Nothing is booked: the customer books on Movesmith. Customers can book for today too, while a mover can still take it, at the same price.
