Creates an interactive lesson in StudyMe with varied task types, explanatory text, automatic validation, and a shareable lesson URL.
Use this tool when the user wants to create an interactive StudyMe lesson or interactive tasks in StudyMe.
## INPUT HANDLING
Use information already available in the user's request and conversation context when constructing the lesson.
- **topic_description**: The topic and purpose of the lesson.
- **subject**: The school subject, e.g. "Mathematics", "Danish", or "Biology".
- **question_count**: Number of interactive tasks to create (1-30). If not specified, use 5.
- **level**: Education level, e.g. "Upper Secondary A-level" or "Primary School 9th-10th grade". This field is optional.
- **title**: Use a concise title that reflects the lesson topic.
Only request additional information when an essential value cannot reasonably be inferred from the user's request or conversation context.
## PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH
Create the lesson from the perspective of an experienced teacher in the specified subject.
The lesson should:
- be appropriate for the specified education level
- use clear and age-appropriate language
- contain varied and interesting tasks
- have good pedagogical progression
- include explanations and context where useful
- test different aspects of the topic rather than repeating the same type of question
## STRUCTURE AND VALIDATION
Follow the input schema exactly.
Only use fields defined by the schema.
Required fields for each lesson element:
- textBlock: type, textContent
- multipleChoiceTask: type, taskText, options, correctAnswer
- calculationTask: type, taskText, correctAnswer
- dragAndDropTask: type, taskText, pairs
- textWithChoicesTask: type, taskText, choices, correctAnswers
## TASK TYPE EXAMPLES
### textBlock
{
"type": "textBlock",
"textContent": "<p>Explanatory text with <strong>formatting</strong> and mathematics $x^2+3x+2$</p>"
}
### multipleChoiceTask
{
"type": "multipleChoiceTask",
"taskText": "<p>What is the solution?</p>",
"options": ["Answer 1", "Answer 2", "Answer 3"],
"correctAnswer": ["Answer 2"]
}
### calculationTask
{
"type": "calculationTask",
"taskText": "<p>Calculate $2+3$</p>",
"correctAnswer": ["5"]
}
### dragAndDropTask
{
"type": "dragAndDropTask",
"taskText": "<p>Match the following:</p>",
"pairs": [
{"source": "A", "target": "1"},
{"source": "B", "target": "2"}
]
}
### textWithChoicesTask
{
"type": "textWithChoicesTask",
"taskText": "<p>Choose §-§ and §-§</p>",
"choices": [
["choice1", "choice2"],
["choice3", "choice4"]
],
"correctAnswers": [
["choice1"],
["choice3"]
]
}
## FORMATTING RULES
### HTML
HTML may be used only in `taskText` and `textContent`.
Supported formatting includes:
- <p>
- <br>
- <strong>
- <em>
Use HTML elements rather than newline characters for line breaks.
Do not use HTML inside the `options` field of a multiple-choice task.
### Mathematics
In `taskText` and `textContent`:
- Write mathematical expressions in LaTeX using `$...$`.
- Use `\cdot` as the multiplication symbol instead of `*` in LaTeX.
Example:
$x^2 + 3 \cdot x + 2$
In answer fields:
- Do not use LaTeX.
- Use Unicode mathematical characters where relevant, such as π, λ, and σ.
- Use explicit `*` for multiplication instead of implicit multiplication.
Example:
π*n
## TASK-SPECIFIC RULES
### General
Do not include task numbers in `taskText`. StudyMe numbers tasks automatically.
Do not include images or `<img>` elements.
### multipleChoiceTask
- `options` contains the available answers.
- `correctAnswer` contains the correct option or options.
- Options contain plain text or LaTeX mathematics, but no HTML.
### calculationTask
- Pose a question with one numerical answer.
- `correctAnswer` contains exactly one value as a string.
- `deviationPercent` may be used when an approximate numerical answer is appropriate.
### dragAndDropTask
- Each `source` value must be unique.
- Each `target` value must be unique.
- Use the task type for meaningful matching or categorisation activities.
### textWithChoicesTask
Use `§-§` as the placeholder for each choice field.
The number of `§-§` placeholders must equal:
- the number of arrays in `choices`
- the number of arrays in `correctAnswers`
Each choices array contains the options for the corresponding placeholder.
## LESSON STRUCTURE
Create exactly `question_count` interactive tasks.
`textBlock` elements do not count toward `question_count`.
Start the lesson with a short `textBlock` that introduces the topic and gives the student useful context.
Use additional `textBlock` elements between tasks when they help explain a new concept, provide context, give an example, or support progression through the lesson.
Use varied task types where this fits the subject matter.
For lessons with enough tasks, use several of the available interactive task types rather than relying entirely on multiple-choice questions.
Available interactive task types are:
- multipleChoiceTask
- calculationTask
- dragAndDropTask
- textWithChoicesTask
If `task_types` is specified, use only the task types included there.
The sequence of tasks should have a clear pedagogical progression.
## TOOL INPUT
Populate the `tasks` field with the lesson elements in the order they should appear.
Each element must contain:
- its `type`
- only the fields defined for that type
Do not add fields such as:
- id
- order
- metadata
## TOOL RESULT
A successful tool call returns a URL to the created StudyMe lesson.
