Description
Groundbook checks construction drawings for conflicts, missing information, and code problems before bidding, permitting, and construction, so they don't turn into RFIs, change orders, delays, or rework. It's built for everyone who works from a drawing set: • Architects, landscape architects, and designers: coordinate consultant sheets and check details, schedules, and specs before each issue. • Engineers (structural, MEP, civil, fire protection, geotechnical): find cross-discipline clashes and gaps in your sheets and everyone else's. • General contractors and construction managers: review bid and construction sets for constructability problems and likely RFIs. • Subcontractors, estimators, suppliers, manufacturers, and detailers: find every item of your scope across all disciplines and spec sections before you bid, and check shop drawings against the contract set. • Developers, owners, and owner's reps: check the design against your requirements and standards before problems reach budget or schedule. • Plans examiners, building officials, code consultants, and facilities teams: screen permit and record sets against codes and checklists. It reads every sheet and cross-checks plans, sections, details, schedules, and notes against each other and against the specifications; runs your review checklist; and checks building codes: public codes, code books you upload, or codes you hold a license for. Each finding cites the exact sheet and text, with a severity, impact, and recommended fix, and joins an issue list your team works through, with a PDF report and marked-up drawings to share. To start, check your drawings in Groundbook, then go through the results with Claude. Your first project is free. With exactly your permissions, Claude can also list your projects, find and update issues, comment and assign teammates, answer questions about a project's drawings, and export a PDF report, marked-up drawings, a Bluebeam FDF, or a CSV.
