Description
InboxMCP ([inboxmcp.ai](https://inboxmcp.ai)) connects your own mailboxes to Claude. You choose which mailboxes each connection may read and tick each permission it gets. Once you turn on collection, new mail is gathered about every minute and returned with the preferences you saved. Claude does the analysis and decides whether to tell you; InboxMCP does not classify or rank mail. **Examples** - "Every hour, tell me about customers waiting for my reply and any stated deadlines; skip newsletters." Use a Claude Scheduled task with `get_email_monitor_state`, `claim_email_batch` and `complete_email_batch`. Progress is kept in InboxMCP, so no Notion page, file or cursor is needed, and completed emails are not handed to this connection again. - "Find last year's invoices from my freight forwarder and save the PDF." `search_emails` searches the whole mailbox at the provider, `read_search_result` opens a match and `fetch_attachment` downloads one attachment up to 5 MB. - "Draft a reply to the supplier asking for the new quote by Friday." With `email:send` granted and SMTP set up for that mailbox, Claude prepares an immutable plain-text draft. Nothing is sent until you review the exact recipients and text in InboxMCP and confirm. **Good to know** - Works with Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 (Microsoft sign-in) and with IMAP providers such as Gmail and Google Workspace (app password), iCloud, Yahoo, Zoho, Fastmail, QQ Mail, NetEase 163/126, Aliyun, Tencent Exmail and Feishu, or any public IMAP server on port 993. - Source mail stays read-only: nothing is deleted, moved or marked read, and attachments are never sent. - Incoming mail does not wake Claude on its own; your schedule decides when it checks. - Free plan: one mailbox. Limited public beta; synthetic review data is available for evaluation.
